Suede & nubuck

Take good care of your suede and nubuck shoes with the care products by Collonil! Contrary to popular belief, you can often easily clean suede and nubuck as long as you use the right cleaning products. For cleaning, we usually recommend Collonil suède cleaner. It is also important to properly protect your shoes using a spray such as Collonil 1909 protector spray.

Many people find the care and maintenance of suede and nubuck difficult, but this doesn't have to be the case. By using the right products from Collonil, you can keep suede and nubuck shoes and other products in top condition. For example, by cleaning with Collonil Suède and nubuck cleaner and then spraying with Collonil 1909 Supreme protect spray . Both suede and nubuck can be treated in the same way, so most products only need to be purchased once.

Care for suede with Collonil

Suede is a sensitive type of leather and therefore requires extra care and protection. If your shoes, jackets or bags have faded, you can restore the color by treating them with an oil-based spray such as Collonil 1909 Supreme Protect Spray . Collinil 1909 Supreme Protect Spray contains oils and should be used when the suede appears faded.

Nubuck maintained with Collonil

Nubuck has a soft appearance, similar to suede, and is made from the inside of the skin that has been sanded. It is just as important to properly protect nubuck against moisture and dirt by spraying it with Collonil 1909 Supreme protect spray . Nubuck is cared for and maintained in the same way as suede, but nubuck is slightly more sensitive to scratches. To avoid scratches, we recommend using a rubber crepe brush instead of a steel or brass brush.
