Socks

A sock or stocking is worn under a suit to ensure that your leg will never be visible during the day. To make sure your sock won't slide down and it looks unkempt, choose a nice stocking that goes over the calf. Due to the elastic in the upper part of the stocking, it will stay firmly in place and will not slide down, as happens more easily with normal socks. If you're not a fan of stockings, you can of course just wear a pair of socks. Make sure they don't sag. Socks are always perfect with a more casual outfit such as jeans or chinos.

A different color of socks than your suit, of course well matched with the color of the pants, will give a nice contrast and make the outfit more refined and complete. For example, wear light gray socks with an anthracite gray suit, or dark green socks with a light khaki.
